It is called three-dimensional, or 3D because there are three dimensions: width, depth and height.

A Platonic Solid is a 3D shape where:

• each face is the same regular polygon
• the same number of polygons meet at each vertex (corner)

A Polyhedron is a solid with flat faces (from Greek poly- meaning "many" and -edron meaning "face").
